Hi Huskies!

I am Ms. Ocegueda, one of Alliance Simon Tech's in-house substitutes! I am a recent graduate from UC San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science and a minor in Psychology. I was born and raised in South Los Angeles. I also graduated from an Alliance high school (Alliance Collins Family, Class of 2018)! 

After living and studying in San Diego for 4 years, I decided to come back to South LA as I always wanted to give back to my community and the future generations. I have worked in education for more than a year at a middle school, elementary school, summer science camp, and now a high school. My goal is to inspire our students into pursuing college and share the resources I utilized as I navigated through college as a low income first generation college student. I aspire to be a School Psychologist one day with the goal of serving social and emotional learning and mental health support students need to thrive not only at school or at home, but throughout their life.

Some fun facts about me are that I am the middle child of my family. I have two brothers and two sisters. I also have a dog named Maya who has been a part of my family for 9 years now! I love going to the gym and hiking. My favorite place to eat is Korean BBQ. I also travel to Jalisco, Mexico every year to visit my family and friends.

I am so excited for the 2023-2024 academic year!
